Who Is 'RHOBH's New Addition?

Get ready for a brand new housewife on the block. For its upcoming sixth season, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has added Erika Jayne to its cast in what's thought to be at least a part-time capacity — as E! reports, it's currently unclear whether or not Jayne will be a full cast member, or have a smaller role.

Full-time or part-time cast member status aside, it's worth learning a bit about this new addition to the series before Season 6 begins airing. So, who is Jayne? Unsurprisingly, considering this is the Beverly Hills edition of the reality series franchise, Jayne had built a rather lucrative career for herself before Real Housewives was even a thing: She's a dance/club artist and performer who has had eight number one songs in the Billboard club/dance category — like "One Hot Pleasure" and "Party People (Ignite the World)" — so it seems that she will be a good fit for the franchise. She released her debut album in 2009, and her songs have been featured in the movies The Watch, The Neighbor, The Deal, and the show Toddlers and Tiaras. Her husband is Thomas V. Girardi, a 76-year-old lawyer.

E!'s source reportedly remarked that Jayne was chosen, perhaps, to stir things up on the show:

"She brings a young energy. And she has sex appeal. She's married but she loves to party and have fun."

It seems likely that Jayne will be a full cast member, since the series has lost two of its housewives last season. First, the controversial Brandi Glanville revealed that she would not returning next season after notoriously clashing with cast members, then cast member Kim Richards was also confirmed to be leaving the series to focus instead on her health and sobriety.

It seems very possible that Jayne could be the replacement for Glanville and Richards, and thus be a full-time cast member. If you want an idea of why she's perfect for the show, here's some evidence.
