'Nymphomaniac' Gets Two Installments

by Tanya Ghahremani

If you were worried that Lars von Trier would be forced to trim down his upcoming film Nymphomaniac from its intended 5-hour running time to a more theater/life-friendly 2 hours, good news: There will be lots of time in the film to see your favorite actors' faces CGI'd onto porn stars' bodies as they get it on. According to Deadline, Nymphomaniac will be released in two parts in the US: The first will premiere on video on demand on March 6, before hitting theaters on March 21, then the second installment will premiere on video on demand on April 3 before hitting theaters on April 18.

In other words: If you feel uncomfortable watching a movie with as much graphic sex as Nymphomaniac promises in a theater full of other people feeling just as awkward as you are, you can now watch it from the comfort of your own home. I'd make some joke about how it's clear they had one type of customer in mind when they decided to release this film for people to watch at home (if you know what I mean), buuuut that would be too obvious.

Anyway, I've attached the trailer below, if you haven't seen it yet. Note: It is EXTREMELY NSFW.
