Meet Country's Cutest Couple Karen & Jimi

Country music is full of couples whose love for each other is bigger than the state of Texas. When you see the likes of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrell share the stage for a heartfelt duet, you can't help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Well, now you've got to add one more to the list of your fave country music couples, because once you see Little Big Town couple Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook hosting the CMA Music Festival broadcast on ABC Tuesday night, no other pair will matter.

Yes, there is a dynamic duo among the fab foursome that is Little Big Town. But, long before the band, which also includes members Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet, started churning out hits like "Pontoon," "Girl Crush," and "Day Drinking," Fairchild and Westbrook were strictly bandmates when the group formed back in 1998.

In fact, Fairchild was at first married to someone else. She eventually divorced her husband before becoming romantically involved with Westbrook. This is how the two finally fell for each other, according to an interview with Westbrook in 2013:

“I think there was always something underlying there that we were trying to ignore... Then when the opportunity came, when all of us ended up single at the same time — a very strange turn of events for the band in a lot of different ways — those feelings, you were able to come out with them finally. It was like, ‘We’re single. Let’s get together.’ She has a beautiful heart and she’s absolutely gorgeous and I just love her dearly.”

Well, that sounds like something right out of a movie, or at least a Taylor Swift music video, doesn't it? Fairchild and Westbrook got married soon thereafter on May 31, 2006 in a small ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. (Your wedding doesn't get any more country than that, unless you're Jesse Metcalfe starring in Hallmark Channel's A Country Wedding, that is.)

A few years later, Fairchild and Westbrook gave birth to the littlest new addition to Little Big Town. Their son Elijah Dylan was born in 2010. If that kid doesn't have an amazing voice or a knack for the guitar when he grows up, there just isn't any justice in the world.

Their marriage has, of course, been a major part of Little Big Town's act. How could it not? They even shared a duet in the music video for the band's 2013 single "Your Side of the Bed," which was so steamy, it made this rather depressing song about a crumbling relationship seem like a love ballad. You can watch the video above and then promptly take a cold shower.

Hopefully, Fairchild and Westbrook's marriage stays strong for years to come and doesn't become the stuff that country songs are made of.
