Has Cara Delevingne Dyed Her Hair Pink?

When it comes to looking cool, calm, and collected in colorful summer trends, you can always rely on Cara Delevingne to be achingly ahead of the fashion curve. On Aug. 2, Cara Delevingne's pink hair at Montreal's Osheaga Festival proved that the model-turned-actress is far from a wallflower as she paired candyfloss-hued locks with a purple and black patterned bandanna, Ray Ban sunglasses, a pineapple-themed crop top, and bacon-print shorts for a truly food-themed ensemble. Delevingne sported the killer look while rocking out to acts that included Alt-J and Florence and the Machine, as well as her girlfriend of eight months Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent).

Whether her new tickled-pink look is the product of a wig or a bottle of hair dye, no one seems too sure about just yet. What we do know is that Delevingne was accompanied to the festival by black wig-sporting Suicide Squad co-star Margot Robbie, so it seems her sudden transformation may also have been an attempt at going incognito for the day. Or, you know, a nod to the superhero style trend.

Whatever Delevingne's reasons for going pink, what I can say with certainty is that with her hotly-hued hair, hilarious faces, and high energy dance moves brightening up the festival crowd, Montreal was definitely far from a paper town this weekend.

From her amazingly thick, defined eyebrows, to her delicate diamond inner ear tattoo and pepperoni pizza-themed onesie, Delevingne has never been afraid to deviate from traditional style conventions. However, she's not the only celebrity to flaunt a candy-shop coiffure with pride in recent years. From Katy Perry to Scarlett Johansson, pink has long been the hair hue to make the celebrity A-list wink. Here is a roundup of some of my absolute favorites:

1. Scarlett Johansson

Mixing her classic Hollywood glamour with candyfloss-colored hair that looks good enough to eat, Scarlett Johannson has been a serial sporter of pink hair pride. Her first public appearance while donning the look was for Lost in Translation as confused newlywed Charlotte.

2. Katy Perry

Katy Perry's hair is as ever-changing as a chameleon, but no matter what color she chooses, she always looks amazing. September 2014 saw her try out a striking Animal from The Muppets-esque fuschia pink, having already donned a beautiful watermelon and delicate ombre pink in the past.

3. Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco went a brightly-colored bubblegum pink shade in celebration of Memorial Day in May this year, posting a number of photos on her pet horse's Instagram showing off her new 'do and writing "pink obsessed this morning :)" on April 29.

4. Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner, another fan of ever-changing hair hues, went a lightly tinted pink shade in time for Coachella this April, offset strikingly against her deep tan and white crop top.

5. Nicki Minaj

Known for her sugary sweet cartoon character demeanor, Nicki Minaj has never been one for tame tresses. She's sported a rainbow of colors in the past, including this pretty pastel pink bouffant.
