FLOTUS Fave Tadashi Shoji Is Making A Girls' Line
One of Michelle Obama's go-to clothing labels just shared the ca-yutest fashion news of the week; Tadashi Shoji is making a line of dresses for girls, which the Japanese-American designer announced via a trio of adorable snaps of his youngest models to date. And despite their age (I'm guessing five or six) these two can totally show us all a thing or two about effortlessly rocking red carpet-worthy dresses with sneakers.
Prior to expanding his line to include fashionistas-in-training, Tadashi Shoji already had one of the widest-reaching client lists there is, thanks to his truly egalitarian approach to creating beautifully-made clothing that works for any and all body type, age and style profile. The FLOTUS has worn his dresses on TV appearances and at State Dinners, and Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer all but lives in his clothing. (Remember when she accepted her Oscar while wearing that white beaded Tadashi Shoji gown?) Chanteuse and all around cool-girl Janelle Monae stunned at the 2015 CFDA Awards in a GoT-inspired ivory cape that made me want to be a better person.
But, his celeb clients are going to have to watch their backs; the next generation of Tadashi Shoji fans is ready to steal the spotlight!
The collection is already available to shop online, so grab a credit card, and brace yourself for the cuteness:
White Cosmo Dress, $268
Snow Drop Dress, $148 and White Cosmo Dress, $268
Trillium Dress, $308
Poppy Dress, $288
Can we also take a hand-to-heart moment to soak in the warm and fuzzy feelings from this BTS shot of one of the models petting the stylist's hair?
Now, which celebaby is going to rock these on the red carpet? Harper Beckham, I'm talking to you!
