Are You Using This In Bed?
The dreaded hand job. Some women hate it because it can be kind of boring, time-consuming, and it makes your arms sore. So to make giving hand jobs more exciting, fun, and easy, I use lubrication. It makes my partner's penis wet and slippery, which makes it easier for me to play with it and use my best technique. I find it really hot to use lube during hand jobs, too, because it makes the act feel like an important part of our foreplay, rather than just something I need to do to get him hard.
For a general rule, use silicone lubricant. Water-based lubricant dries up fast and gets sticky, especially with all of the friction and movement of your hands. Constantly needing to re-apply lubrication can be a buzzkill, and can get pretty messy. If you must use water based lubricant, experts say you should start out with a small amount, and then add more later as needed.
I have found the head to feel the driest during a hand job, and because hand jobs usually go in the up-down motion, you'll want to apply extra lube to it. I highly recommend that you ask your partner for his honest input on which lubrication he prefers. It is common for men to use lubrications such as lotion, baby oil, or even hair conditioner during masturbation. It may be an awkward conversation, but if you use something he is comfortable with and accustomed to, it's likely to be a more pleasurable experience for the both of you.
Here are my favorite lubrications for giving hand jobs:
1. Sliquid Silver Lube
Sliquid Silver Lube, $20, Amazon
Sliquid is my favorite, high-quality silicone lubricant. Because it is silicone, you only need to use a small amount. It glides especially well and creates less friction, which enhances his pleasure.
2. Wet Platinum
Wet Platinum, $10, Amazon
Wet platinum is another great silicone based lubricant. A big problem with using lubrication can be the aftertaste when you try to go down on your partner later. Wet Platinum is both odorless and tasteless, which is perfect for if you and your partner like to alternate between oral and manual stimulation. It also glides silky and smooth. According to Wet Platinum's official site:
"Wet® Platinum® contains no water so it will not evaporate like water-based formulas and silicones are made up of large molecules so they do not absorb into the skin."
3. Suave Lotion
Suave Lotion, $12, Amazon
I love using lotion as a lubricant for hand jobs. It makes me feel like I'm a massage therapist, and I'm giving my boyfriend a nice massage session. Suave is soft, non-irritating to the genitals, and very inexpensive.
4. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion
Cetaphil is a fragrance free, dermatologist recommended, hypoallergenic lotion. I especially recommend Cetaphil for if your partner has sensitive genitals. It is velvet soft and will help your hands to glide gently down his penis.
