Of course, your main goal on Thanksgiving should be eating a pile of green bean casserole, and then taking a nap. But there are also so many Thanksgiving inspired dates ideas to be had, as well. Here are a few, based on your fave TV shows, to enjoy with your partner.

Go On A Hayride

Inspired by Dwight's desire to be Hay King, go to a local farm and spend the day hopping on hayrides, picking pumpkins, and eating your weight in apple cider donuts.

Make Thanksgiving Dinner

Even if you aren't hosting your first Thanksgiving, like Jessica in Fresh off the Boat, you can still start your own rituals. Don cute aprons, play fun music, and choose a few recipes that'll be "yours."

Bake A Pie

Are you watching the newest season of The Great British Baking Show? If not, put it on in the background while you and your partner bake a pie — or tart, or biscuit, or bun — together. To stay on theme, stick to pumpkin and apple flavors.

Watch The Parade

While you might not be able to watch the traditional Macy's Day Parade, like they do in Seinfeld, there will be a virtual event this year. So kick back and watch with your partner.

Play Touch Football

What would Thanksgiving be without playing touch football in the park, like they do in Friends? Even if you just toss a ball outside for a few minutes, it'll totally count as a date.

Volunteer

Inspired by How I Met Your Mother, find a way to give back this Thanksgiving. A quick search for volunteer organizations near you should bring up a list of places that need some help. Best date idea ever? Probably.

Create Your Own Festival

Leslie Knopes would want you to put your all into creating a harvest festival. While there's no need to find a mini horse, consider decorating your apartment with festive gourds, and spending an evening making candy apples.

Drink Beer & Watch Football

Make like the roomies on New Girl, and don't let anyone stand between you and an evening on the couch.

Go On A Walk

If you end up feeling extra sluggish, perhaps after eating tons of leftovers like Rory and Lorelai are wont to do, why not stroll around town looking at the changing leaves? With coffee in hand? And make it a date?

Run A 5K

Need another date idea inspired by The Office? See if your town is hosting a "fun run," or just jog a 5K all on your own. It'll be a good way to get yourselves moving after all the naps.

Decorate For The Holidays

After you celebrate Thanksgiving, let Black-ish inspire you to start decorating for the holidays — bright and early on November 27th.
