Celebs arrived on the Met Gala red carpet to pay homage to American fashion and “gilded glamour.” That meant plenty of vintage-inspired silhouettes — namely, cleavage-revealing corsets that give off that “Bridgerton boob” look. Billie Eilish, for example, gave a masterclass in an upcycled Gucci number.

Precious Lee always delivers a fashion moment — and the Met Gala was no exception. She looked stunning in a fully sheer Altuzarra look with gold detailing and a structured corset on top.

SZA gave fans what they wanted on the Met Gala red carpet — a promise for new music this summer and a gorgeous, gorgeous look. Her corseted, hot pink gown was reportedly custom Vivienne Westwood.

It was Burberry for Bella Hadid, who was somehow both on-theme and also on the 2000s trend. The look is Bridgerton-meets-Morticia-Addams in the best way possible.

There were many approaches to gilded glamour, but, when it comes to the “gilded” aspect, Megan Thee Stallion did it best. She served body in this dripping gold, Moschino look.

No one does a corseted, Y2K moment quite like Olivia Rodrigo. She really went for it in a sparkly, purple Versace gown complete with butterfly clips. The bodice and draped shoulders add that Bridgerton touch.
