Emily in Paris actress Ashley Park also wore Prabal Gurung atelier. Pictured here with the designer, her gown was made from up-cycled materials (a trend at the gala). I can only hope that one day Prabal Gurung looks at me like that on the Met steps.

LaLa Anthony wore LaQuan Smith to host the luxurious event. Smith was also in attendance to admire his work. Anthony received the seal of approval from co-host and Vogue editor-at-large Hamish Bowles who called her “a new-age Gibson girl”.

Gwen Stefani’s highlighter yellow Vera Wang dress lit up the Met steps. The ruffles and excess volume of the skirt felt authentic to the gilded age, while the color and tube top brought it straight into 2022.

Fashion media legend Eva Chen was ‘fitted by Vietnamese designer Peter Do. The clean-cut lines are emblematic of the designer’s aesthetic. Beyond that, the design brings together the S-curve of the gilded age and the tailoring of menswear at the turn of the 19th century.
