After devouring the beauty looks from each and every New York Fashion Week show, you may have noticed a particularly eye-catching trend emerge: unconventional, super ethereal makeup looks that give off major fairycore vibes.

Browne’s show was inspired by The Little Prince, and models wore a slew of different makeup looks fit for a fairytale. One featured silver eyeshadow swept up to the brow bone and on top of the cheekbones, complete with matching metallic brows and rhinestone accents.

Makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench was behind the fantastical glam at the show. Here, another model at Thom Browne dazzles in gold, sun flare-style under-eye makeup along with gold and rhinestone-studded lip liner.

Over at Dion Lee, Isamaya Ffrench created a stunning snakeskin-like effect across models’ foreheads using Grip and Flesh from her brand’s Industrial Color Pigments palette. She used an airbrush and a reptile scale stencil for an otherworldly ombré 3D effect.

“Sweet but psycho” schoolgirl was the vibe at Sandy Liang’s Fall/Winter 2023 show, which makeup artist Marcelo Gutierrez achieved with a luminescent frosted eye paired with either a glossy or goth lip.
