I never thought I’d see the day when Crocs hit the red carpet, but that day has come. Some of the most respected style stars are sporting the polarizing clog at elite formal events — Justin Bieber, Elliot Page, Pharrell, and more. Here’s how they styled the famous “ugly” shoe.

Justin Bieber showed up to 2022 Grammys in an oversized suit and equally oversized Balenciaga Croc lookalikes that featured a hardware-heavy design. I can’t look away.

Questlove, our Crocs On the Red Carpet King, donned the Crocs x Salehe Bembury collab at this year’s Grammys and to the 2022 Oscars. The man cannot be stopped.

Sorry, JB, Elliot Page did it first. The actor showed off Balenciaga’s ultra-chunky take on the clog at the brand’s Paris Fashion Week show last fall.

Questlove wore sparkling, golden Crocs at the 2021 Academy Awards, reminiscent of the statue he won. A coincidence? I think not.

At the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards, Nick Cannon hit the red carpet in a... shocking look that included a white fur coat, candy cane shorts, and mismatched Crocs. (????)

After a toe injury last summer, actress Jena Malone styled a pleated, leather-look gown with red lipstick and matching Crocs for the premiere of her film Lorelei.
Wow, I can’t believe Pharrell invented Crocs. Before the ugly shoe surge of 2022, he donned a rainbow pair at the 2019 premiere of The Black Godfather. Killed it.
