The 2021 Billboard Music Awards brought out all of music’s biggest stars and they dressed to impress — 2000s style. Here are all the best red carpet looks inspired by the early aughts and beyond.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly held nothing back. Fox wore a 2000s-inspired black Mugler dress with a cutout bodice and sheer, ruched midi skirt. While MGK’s outfit was typical for your average rock star, it was his dyed black tongue that got everybody talking.

Doja Cat channeled Beetlejuice with this two-piece outfit straight from the Balmain archives. It features a bandeau top with oversized sleeves, a silver neckpiece with a turquoise pendant, and matching high-waist flared pants.

SZA delivered her own interpretation of the 2000s cutouts trend in a black gown by Mônot with a halter top silhouette and waist-high slit.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas channeled Beyoncé in 2007 with a custom gold gown with a thigh-high slit and Bulgari jewels. As for her hubby, he opted for a monochromatic kelly green suit by Fendi, topped off with a gold chain and platform boots.
