Fashion at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards was all about optical illusion. Kylie Jenner represented the thermo-imaging trend that’s hitting it big this season, while Mary J. Blige’s dress almost looked like a tattoo. Here, all the must-see outfits from the red carpet.

Kylie Jenner hit the red carpet with boyfriend Travis Scott and daughter Stormi Webster wearing one of the biggest trends of the season: the new take on the naked dress. Her Balmain gown featured a thermal-image print that looked sheer but was a total optical illusion.

In all black, Teyana Taylor bared it all, wearing a totally sheer Skims bandeau bralette and embellished Givenchy pants that rode so low you could see her exposed G-string on each hip. She accessorized the look with Balenciaga platforms, chunky silver jewelry, and a studded belt.

Choosing red for her carpet walk, Dove Cameron’s Ashlyn gown featured silk that bustled at the hips. With a totally open front — held together by completely sheer tulle — her look fully embraced cut-outs.
