If you're considering one of the iPhone 12 models, you're probably dying to know about the cameras. While all four phones offer Night mode in each camera, faster Deep Fusion for better detail, and Smart HDR 3 for natural-looking photos, there are a few differences.

Both phones — which are the same except for size and price — have a dual camera system. There's an Ultra Wide camera that''ll capture four times more of the scene in landscape shots, and a new Wide camera, which catches more light.

Along with the Wide and Ultra Wide lenses, the Pro and Pro Max have a Telephoto lens, which gets closer to the subject and an LiDAR scanner, which offers augmented reality (AR) and faster autofocus in low light. Pro videos also record in Dolby Vision.

The iPhone Pro Max

Along with the Wide and Ultra Wide lenses, the Pro Max has a larger sensor and larger pixels, adding more light to the Wide lens. In Telephoto, you can zoom in even more than you can in the Pro. Apple says a new system called OIS will also stabilize your shots.
