Colors

The Apple Watch Series 7 gets playful, with five new colors made of 100% recycled aluminum. The colors are midnight (black), starlight (white), blue, green, and red.

Design

In the Keynote, Apple revealed that the Series 7 display is 20% bigger than the Series 6, and 50% larger than the Series 3. This means that display buttons are easier to tap, and more text can fit on the screen without scrolling.

Charging

While the battery life is still 18 hours, as it was in the Series 6, the Series 7 charges 33% faster, per the Keynote. It’ll also only take eight minutes of power charging to track a full eight hours of sleep.

WatchOS 8

You don’t need to upgrade your Watch to get the benefits of the latest operating system, which updates how the Watch tracks cycling — hello, Peloton nation — improves the Wallet app, and will feature a full text keyboard. WatchOS 8 rolls out on Sept. 20.

The standard Apple Watch Series 7 base model starts at $399. Apple has not yet shared when they will be releasing the Watch 7, only that it will hit stores “later this fall.”
