Every young football player wants to be compared to David Beckham, it's up there on the list of achievements with getting your first international cap for your country. But once in a while, someone comes along that really does remind you of old Golden Balls. Enter: Jack Grealish.

At just 25-years-old, the Aston Villa captain and attacking midfielder has become one of the UK’s most talented players, with 222 appearances and a mighty 37 goals for the Birmingham side, and is now aiding England to international success.

Grealish was given the illustrious No. 7 shirt for the England side’s Euros 2020 campaign. Worn by former captain Beckham throughout his international career, “the No. 7 was a bit of an iconic number in England terms,” said Grealish at the time. “I was shocked myself to be honest.”

Even though he has taken on the mantle of the No.7 shirt, his long hair isn’t inspired by Becks. “Obviously I’ve always looked up to David Beckham,” Grealish told British GQ. “That said, my hair wasn't inspired by him though.”

“It’s long and during games, when I get sweaty and my hair gets wet, it would end up going over my face too much,” added Grealish. “That's why I started wearing a headband in training. I then brought that into actual games and I’ve been doing all right with it so far.”

Obviously, their deep impassioned drive for the game isn’t helping me tell them apart either. But if you ever get confused, David Beckhams is the one in the royal box with Ed Sheeran, and Grealish is on the pitch. You’re welcome.
