For eight years, fans of Fox’s That ’70s Show watched Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Wilmer Valderrama, and Danny Masterson grow up in Point Place, Wisconsin — mainly, in The Formans’ (played by Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith) basement.

Created by Mark Brazill, Bonnie Turner, and Terry Turne, the Emmy-winning period sitcom made stars out of the mostly first-time actors. Twenty-three years later, most are still thriving. Read on for what the cast has been up to since and who’ll join the Netflix reboot, That ’90s Show.

Smith and Rupp were already industry veterans before playing husband-and-wife Red and Kitty Forman. Smith's credits included RoboCop, Broken Arrow, and Star Trek VI, and Rupp appeared in Seinfeld, 7th Heaven, and Friends.

After playing the stern but lovable Red, Smith found continued success in TV, joining hit shows like 24, Agent Carter, and Patriot.

Rupp also worked on several TV projects, including Better With You, This Is Us, and WandaVision. She and Smith reunited on Netflix's The Ranch, along with other castmates, and both are set to reprise their roles in the Netflix reboot.

Playing lovebirds Eric Forman and the literal girl-next-door Donna Pinciotti were Grace and Prepon's first roles. Prepon told ET that acting like “a total tomboy” landed her the role. “At the end of the audition, I looked at [the creators], and I said, ‘We good?’”

Grace later joined films like Valentine’s Day, Spider-Man 3, and Interstellar, and hit shows Twilight Zone and Black Mirror. Meanwhile, Prepon made TV rounds in How I Met Your Mother and Castle, House before landing another iconic role as inmate Alex in Orange Is The New Black.

Before Kunis played the ditzy Jackie Burkhart at 14, she had roles on Days of our Lives and 7th Heaven. Meanwhile, the clueless Michael Kelso was Kutcher’s first role after modeling for Calvin Klein. During the series, he starred in Cheaper by the Dozen and launched MTV’s Punk’d.

After, Kunis found success with Bad Moms 1 & 2, Friends With Benefits, and Black Swan while Kutcher was in No Strings Attached, What Happens In Vegas, and Two and a Half Men after he replaced Charlie Sheen. Kunis and Kutcher reconnected later on, wed in 2015, and now share two kids.

Valderrama only appeared in Four Corners before playing foreign exchange student Fez (get it?). Speaking about Fez’s role in Latin representation, he told Today he’s “very proud to be one of those few that were on primetime back then,” adding, “It’s a privilege.”

After, Valderrama went on to star in some of TV’s biggest franchises with a recurring role as a patient in Grey’s Anatomy and a multi-season arc as a detective in NCIS. He also joined fellow castmates in The Ranch and reunited with Kutcher on a few episodes of Punk’d.

Masterson racked up credits on Roseanne and NYPD Blue before taking on Steven Hyde. Some fans were excited he later joined The Ranch, but his post-show life is plagued by controversy. In June 2020, he was charged with raping three women in the early 2000s and is set to stand trial on Nov. 10.
