Long before the announcement that Page would not be returning for Season 2 of Bridgerton, rumors surfaced that he might be the next James Bond. Despite him shrugging off the rumors, fans seem to think it would be the perfect role for him. “Just finished watching Bridgerton on Netflix,” one person tweeted. “Wow! Regé-Jean Page should be the next man to play James Bond. He is so handsome, smooth and debonair!” No lies detected.
The recent rumors that Page is leaving Bridgerton so that he could star in Black Panther 2 should be taken with a grain of salt. However, some fans think he’d make a great addition to the cast. “Ya gotta get Regé-Jean Page into the next Black Panther movie some kinda way,” someone wrote on Twitter. “He’s hot, smart, sophisticated, African ... and let’s not forget good-looking.” Ryan Coogler, are you listening?

If ever there was a remake of this beloved animated Disney movie from 2009, fans already have their hearts set on who should take on the role of Prince Naveen. “Can we all agree that Regé-Jean Page should play Prince Naveen in Princess and the Frog?” one fan tweeted. Fine with us!

In February, news came out that J.J. Abrams will be producing a new Superman movie — this time, with a Black lead. And given Page’s recent rise to superstardom, Bridgerton fans think he deserves the cape. “Said it before and Imma say it again,” someone tweeted. “Regé-Jean Page should be our next Superman. He’s perfect for the part.” Hear that, Abrams?
In October 2020, Variety reported that V.E. Schwab’s novel would be getting a film adaptation. But who should play Luc, the god who curses the main character with an indefinite life? Bridgerton fans have some ideas. “If The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by @veschwab is ever adapted into a series, I think Regé-Jean Page should play Luc,” someone wrote on Twitter. “He has the playful but dark energy necessary for the part. Not to mention the face.” Points were made.

Bridgerton fans seem really convinced that the natural next step for Page is the comics universe. And perhaps if Superman doesn’t work out, he can play a Batman character instead — or at least voice an animated character. “I want Regé-Jean Page from Bridgerton to voice a Batman character in the next animated movie so badly,” a fan tweeted. “Or play a Batman character in a movie. Or record his voice reading the dictionary. Give me any of these options and I’ll be *very* happy.”

One Duke of Hastings fan thinks that Page should step into the role of yet another Duke: Duke Ellington. “Regé-Jean Page should play Duke Ellington,” they tweeted. “His story needs to be introduced to a 21st-century audience.” Ellington, born in 1899, was a great American pianist and composer, and if there’s a biopic in the works, we have to agree that Page should be a top contender for the lead role.

Last but certainly not least, Marvel fans would love to see Page in the MCU in some capacity, even if not in Black Panther — maybe as a member of the X-Men or as Mr. Fantastic. “I think Regé-Jean Page would be great in the #MCU,” one person wrote on Twitter. “Maybe as Reed Richards or a member of X-Men. Putting that out there. Thank you.” No, thank you.
