These Photos Of Eugene Levy In The ’80s Look Like Dan Levy Today

Father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy endeared themselves to audiences in Schitt’s Creek. Eugene’s latest project, The Reluctant Traveler, takes him places much different than the Rosebud Motel or the beach resort vacations they went on as a family.

“Is that going to wear on people? Is it going to get so tedious being in these two little rooms?” Eugene told Vanity Fair, reflecting on the fictitious motel of Schitt’s Creek’s humble beginnings. Spoiler: It didn’t.

Despite the show being over, fans can still obsess over the Levys — and their uncanny resemblance. These photos prove how much Dan looks like young Eugene in the ’80s.

Many fans know Eugene from movies like American Pie, Best in Show, and New York Minute. His acting career dates back to the 1970s, and the first major movie he appeared in was National Lampoon’s Vacation as a car salesman.

Dan, meanwhile, broke through in acting, writing, and producing with Schitt’s Creek, which became a juggernaut, especially once it hit Netflix. One of his first roles was in the Degrassi special Degrassi Goes Hollywood.

Eugene’s acting resume boasts more than 100 television and movie roles, such as a Bloomingdale’s salesman in Serendipity, a singer in Father of the Bride, and Morley in For Your Consideration.

Dan’s other roles include Thomas Molloy in Sex Education and John in Happiest Season.

I mean, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree here.

Dan, like his father, has perfected the closed-mouth smile. Smolder, even.

Both actors are known for their trademark attributes: their striking eyebrows. Plus, their dashing good looks, which have the internet collectively swooning.

Both are also Emmy winners! Eugene has won four, two of them being for Schitt’s Creek in 2020: Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Dan, meanwhile, won four in 2020 for Schitt’s Creek — Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
