You may not know as much about his girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez, who has nearly 30 million Instagram followers and only entered the public eye when their relationship began in 2017. Netflix’s new docuseries, I Am Georgina, will provide viewers with a look into the WAG’s life.

I Am Georgina premieres Jan. 27, aka Rodríguez’s 28th birthday, and promises an exploration of the model, influencer, businesswoman, mother, and dancer’s life both on and off the sidelines. In the trailer, she says everything changed when she began dating Ronaldo five years ago.

A fashion aficionado, she was working at a Gucci store in Madrid when she first met Ronaldo and his first-born son, Junior. About two years removed from his previous relationship with Irina Shayk, Ronaldo instantly clicked with Rodríguez, and the rest is history.

Ronaldo also welcomed a set of twins via surrogacy in 2017, but shortly after sparking his relationship with Rodríguez, the pair had a daughter of their own, Alana, the same year. Despite dating for over five years, they’ve never announced plans to get engaged or married.

They’ve also dealt with a bit of controversy, as Ronaldo faced tax evasion charges and multiple rape allegations around the start of their relationship in 2017. While two of the women have dropped their accusations, the third is reportedly seeking $56 million in a civil lawsuit.

Ronaldo denied the prosecution’s claims and called them “fake news” during a live stream. Rodríguez posted on Instagram in support of her partner, writing: “You always transform the obstacles that are put in your way into impulse and strength to show how great you are.”
