Directed by Leigh Janiak and based on R.L. Stine’s Fear Street YA series, the Fear Street Trilogy, set in 1994, 1978, and 1966 respectively, follows teens looking for the Fier Witch who cursed Shadyside, Ohio, and why, on Fear Street, death keeps coming.

“People are drawn to Fear Street mainly for the surprises,” Stine said in a Netflix featurette. The author, who wrote over 60 books in the beloved YA series and sold over 80 million copies since publication in 1989, added, “I’ve killed off a lot of teenagers in Fear Street.”
