Amanda Bynes Is Engaged

In news that really came out of nowhere, apparently Amanda Bynes is engaged. Bynes gave an interview to In Touch Weekly telling the magazine on Sunday, "I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f--- them, but I can now say I’m engaged — get away from me. I want to be married and I want to be away from people." As for who she is engaged to, the guy is her 19-year-old boyfriend, Caleb, who she says lives in Costa Mesa, Calif. There was no last name given for Caleb, and the fact that she even has a boyfriend is news in itself, let alone that she's now engaged.

Recently, Bynes has been dealing with what appears to be a relapse into her erratic behavior. After spending the majority of this year seeming like she was on the up and up — enrolling in fashion design school, being under her parents' conservatorship — Bynes was arrested for a DUI on Sept. 28. Since then, she has been seen in New York City, where she used to live. As you may recall, Bynes got in trouble for throwing a bong out of her New York apartment window last year. Charges related to that case were dismissed in June because of good behavior and completion of counseling. Additionally, her conservatorship ended in early September.

Bynes went on to tell In Touch that she may design her own wedding dress, saying, "I honestly would rather not [design my dress], but I’m so particular about how I look that I cannot imagine not designing it." And also talked about having children: "I want boys, for sure. However many I can pop out. I don’t want a gorgeous girl around. Then I [would] feel way jealous. Ew."

It's clear from Bynes' statements to the magazine, that she is not well mentally, so regardless of whether or not she is actually engaged or not, what's most important is that she regain stability and find the help she needs.
