The Trump-Pence Logo GIF Is Super Awkward
Presumptive GOP nominee and businessman Donald Trump has formally announced Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate, giving us a former reality TV star and radio talk show host pair on the Republican ticket. With Trump's new running mate came a new Trump and Pence campaign logo and the GIF has the two appearing to be closer than ever.
The logo was released on Friday in a fundraising email and features a "T" inserted into a "P" and reads "Trump Pence Make America Great Again!" Some suggested the logo was inappropriate for a presidential campaign, another person noted that Pence's initial appeared to be giving Trump's initial a hug, to which someone replied, "or something."
Maybe Trump is trying to use his logo to back up his tired claim that he is a "unifier." Or, House Rep. Alan Grayson suggested that the logo "accurately represents what Trump-Pence will do to America."
No matter what the campaign was going for with the logo, the internet was less than impressed but still all about the jokes, especially this GIF to "Milkshake" by Kelis.
It didn't take long for the Trump-Pence campaign logo to become a GIF, but pairing it with Kelis' "Milkshake" makes it even better. Donnacha Kenny could have a point, though, the Trump Pence logo might just be "too risque" for America, a country that is so fragile when it comes to overtly sexual imagery, sexual health, sex education. Or maybe this logo is exactly what America needs.
The GIF's designer should be careful to steer clear of a Trump lawsuit, however, as the businessman has made quite a few threats to sue in his day. (He's been involved in more than 4,000 lawsuits since 1970.)
Either way, keep the Trump-Pence GIFs coming — even if their campaign isn't bringing you or your milkshake to the polling booths this fall.
