Noah Cyrus has broken into the music scene with unstoppable force in the past year, with much of the attention thanks to her hit song “Make Me (Cry).” The younger sister of Miley and daughter of Billy Ray is no stranger to the music scene, given her famous family. But she is a stranger to a VMA nomination. That is, until this year.

Cyrus is nominated for Best New Artist at the 2017 awards show, along with artists like SZA and Julia Michaels. It’s a huge moment for the 17-year-old who has been asserting herself as a major pop player with “Make Me (Cry)” and follow-up single “Stay Together.” And any huge moment in a budding career requires a trendsetting outfit.

Cyrus is known for her ‘90s inspired style and goth-like leanings when it comes to fashion. But the teen also has a style habit of mixing edgy pieces with oversized comfortable items (which makes her like any teen, really). When it comes to predicting what she’ll wear on the red carpet, Cyrus can be hard to read — much like her older sister.

The pop star decided to stay true to her trendy, teen self for the 2017 VMAs — and it's an outfit anyone can easily recreate. Cyrus showed up to compete for the breakout award wearing an oversized white sweatshirt with a red flower design on the front, and over-the-knee black boots. She accessorized with red-lensed sunglasses, a biggggg diamond choker, hoop earrings, and eye-catching Swarovski crystal rings. Add some minimal makeup, and you've got a lewk.

The outfit was totally cool, totally casual, and totally Noah. Check out the look for yourself:

The competition for Best New Artist may be stiff, but at least Cyrus is dressed to kill — especially in those bold boots.
