How To Help Burt's Bees Bring Back The Bees

by Dale Arden Chong

Spring is officially here, showing signs of the warm months to come. With the birds chirping and the flowers finally sprouting out of the earth, you might also be seeing some bees. The sad part is you might not see as many as you used to, but Burt's Bees is kicking off the Bring Back the Bees campaign to change that.

For the second year, your favorite earth-friendly, natural health and beauty brand is promoting its Bring Back the Bees campaign to help declining bee populations everywhere. The brand will be releasing limited-editions of its best-selling lip balms in four flavors: Pink Grapefruit, Wild Cherry, Coconut & Pear, and Strawberry. For each purchase, the Burt's Bees Foundation will donate the funds to plan 5,000 wildflower seeds for bees to pollinate and feed off.

The beauty brand is also calling for the #selflessselfie. Using an act that many do two to three times a day, you can create a "selfless selfie" online at selflessselfie.burtsbees.com using custom filters of flowers in bloom. For each selfie made on the website, the foundation will also plant 5,000 wildflower seeds. You can even keep track of the progress on the site's flower counter.

Just like that, think of all the wildflowers you could plant to save the bees!

Taking a #selflessselfie is easy on Burt's Bee's website.

Pink Grapefruit, Wild Cherry, Coconut & Pear, and Strawberry are all of the lip balms will contribute to planting wildflowers.

Burt's Bees has been a beloved natural beauty brand for many.
