It's time to bust out the lullabies and those singing voices, because, reportedly, Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross welcomed a baby girl on Thursday, July 30. According to an E! News source, "Their whole family was around to support them." The sourced added, "Evan was very emotional and loves Ashlee so much. He did not leave her side and wanted to go through this with her every step of the way. He can't wait to be a dad. He would do anything for Ashlee, and now this baby girl. Ashlee is doing great and can't wait to get home to to be with her family."
(Update: Ashlee Simspon confirmed that her baby was born on July 30 on Instagram and shared that her new daughter's name is Jagger Snow Ross.)
News first broke of Simpson's pregnancy in December 2014, but the couple remained mum about their impending arrival. It wasn't until February 2015 that Simpson and Ross revealed they were having a girl, all while officially confirming their soon-to-be addition. The 30-year-old singer also said that she didn't want to wait to be surprised and she had to know if their first child together would be a baby girl or baby boy. "I like to know — I want to do the nursery,” she said.
Before tying the knot with Ross in August 2014, Simpson was married to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz for three years until they divorced in 2011. While married, Simpson and Wentz had a son, Bronx Mowgli, who is now 6 years old and super excited about his baby sister. “I told him pretty early on,” Simpson told People. “And he wanted to have a sister, so he’s really excited! He’s got a little brother [Wentz's son with girlfriend Meagan Camper]. Now he’s going to have a little sister!”
Congratulations to the happy family!
