Katy Perry is in Japan on the latest leg of her Prism Tour, and is embracing the local style trends as much as possible. Perry already demonstrated the Harajuku style, face mask and all. Most recently, Katy Perry wore hamburger shoes, posting a photo of the plush kicks on Instagram. I refuse to make a "looks good enough to eat" joke.
Since the singer is far away from home, a cozy pair of shoes such as this are a creature comfort. The attention to detail with these kicks is pretty amazing, from the ripple of the lettuce to the sesame seeds on the top of the shoe, er, bun.
While Perry has drifted a bit from her previous animated, candy-coated fashion choices over the past year and change, I am happy to see that she hasn't completely ditched fun and frivolous options when it comes to her sense of style. They may not be practical or wearable with everything else that populates her wardrobe, they are still goofy and very Perry-like. She has moved on to a different food group, swapping out sweet for savory, it seems.
See Perry's burger shoes below. They are so rad.
But these Tokyo finds aren't the only fast (food) fashion option.
1. Burger Crocs
Crocs even has a pair of hamburger-inspired clogs. Perhaps they'll encourage you to grow some tomatoes? ($40, crocs.com)
2. Would You Like Fries With That?
If you'd like fries with that burger, these espadrilles in mustard yellow are super cute and summery. ($65, soludos.com)
3. A Slice
Hamburger-themed footwear isn't the sole crazy option out there. These pizza print creepers with the thick sole would look way cute with a t-shirt dress! ($85, tukshoes.com)
And this pair isn't isn't food-themed footwear, but it still RULES!
These Homer Simpson slippers are pretty boss when schlepping around the house. ($24, amazon.com)
