Prince Harry Hates Selfies
Remember when everyone thought Emma Watson and Prince Harry were dating and we knew it would be absolutely perfect? Along with being intelligent, athletic, a hot redhead and, I don't know, AN ACTUAL PRINCE, Harry has proven to have quite the fun personality. Since his older brother, Prince William, is the next in line for the British throne, Harry has reaped the benefits of being the younger and more "carefree" of the royal siblings, showing more of his cheeky side, to say the least. Case in point, when he arrived in Australia to go on assignment with the Australian Defence Force, Prince Harry told a fan ready to take a selfie, "I hate selfies... Seriously, you need to get out of it. I know you’re young, but selfies are bad. Just take a normal photograph!”
Before we jump to the conclusion that Prince Harry is an old grandpa, he totally said this in jest to his fans, and I can admit that I've had my moments when I hated selfies. After watching the video, my crush on the ginger royal was reignited because the boy knows how to tell some jokes, stay culturally relevant, and just be adorable.
And this is not the first time he's had some fun with his fans, the press, and his family, so let's check out some of the times that Prince Harry was the cutest and funniest royal ever.
When He Supported His Fellow Redheads
At the same event in Australia, Prince Harry noticed a group of young kids holding a sign that read, "Redheads Rule!" Harry made sure to pose for a "normal photograph" with them, and a young Australian told the media that Harry shared a few words with him: "He said that I was fabulous in making the sign and it's awesome to be a redhead... He was just like, 'Being a redhead just has to be the No. 1 thing one person can ever be.'" D'AWW.
When He Was The Typical Younger Brother
When asked about William and Kate's second pregnancy, Harry shared that he was thrilled, but added (in typical sibling talk): "I can't wait to see my brother suffer more... and try to cope with that." As always, Harry was totally charming and his accent is incredible. Plus, his look of complete satisfaction when he says "GREAT!" when the interviewer says his chances of the throne are greatly decreased is classic!
When He Knew Who One Direction Was
I forgive him for not being Harry Styles, but think it's totally cute that he knows who he is, and knew to reference him at an event for over 12,000 students and teachers. Harry also said it's the "coolest thing in the world" to help others. His perfect meter keeps rising up.
When He Joked About His Big Brother... Again
Probably the only person who can get away with joking at the expense of the Future King of England is his younger brother, and Harry definitely takes advantage of that fact — even in front of the cameras. In an interview, Harry mentioned Prince William's "baldness" which turned into your typical sibling joking and it's super cute.
When He Was Just A Normal Bro Going To Antarctica
Prince Harry was part of a group that went on a South Pole trek, which included Alexander Skarsgård and Dominic West, back in 2013. In this funny video, Harry is caught on video mouthing "Sweet!" when their instructor is talking about oxygen bottles being on board for their trip. You can make of that what you will, but he's just a normal dude goofing off with his adventure buddies. His surprised look afterwards says it all.
When He Described His Nephew's Likeness
While in Chile, Harry was asked in a radio interview about Prince George. His response? "He's growing up. He is walking, and he has big, chubby cheeks. He looks like a young Winston Churchill." Hey, it's all love.
When He Was A Ladies Man
Well, Prince Harry definitely loves the ladies, and he made sure everyone knew that, even at a stuffy gala reception. The dinner, which raised money for the children's charity WellChildren, was held by 100 Women in Hedge Funds, but Harry complained about lack of ladies! He told the crowd, "I am not entirely sure who made the seating plan but I am sitting between two men... I thought it would just be 100 women and myself."
