We're 1 Step Closer To A 'Dawson's Creek' Reunion
Brace yourselves, because a Dawson's Creek reunion is almost on the horizon. Katie Holmes is returning to TV on Ray Donovan, which happens to be the network that Joshua Jackson's The Affair is on. Although those shows probably won't cross over anytime soon, the actors will be at all of the same Showtime parties and events, allowing for at least a photo op with the former costars. It may not just be Pacey and Joey reuniting, though — James Van Der Beek is starring on CSI: Cyber, and CBS and Showtime are owned by the same company. Basically, that means the trio could all be together in the same place many times over the next year, and I already can't handle it.
As for Holmes' new TV role, it will last throughout Season 3 of Ray Donovan and could be pretty dramatic. Her character, Paige is a "shrewd and chic businesswoman" whose family gets into a sticky situation. Her father, Andrew, is a famous movie producer (Deadwood's Ian McShane) who enlists titular fixer Ray (Liev Schreiber) to help him and his loved ones. This marks her first big return to television since Dawson's Creek. She portrayed Jackie Kennedy in Reelz's miniseries The Kennedys (and will reprise that role in After Camelot) and had a memorable recurring role as the Slutty Pumpkin on How I Met Your Mother, but other than that, she's been in mostly films since Dawson's ended in 2003.
Even though Holmes and Jackson probably won't be onscreen together anytime soon, let's all relish in the Pacey and Joey memories, OK?
