Taylor and Rihanna Have the Winter Blues
Marsala may be the color of the year, but it looks like some celebrities has gotten a case of the winter blues. Rihanna wore an electric blue fur coat the day before Taylor Swift wore a blue coat out in New York City this week, but the stylish stars styled them in completely opposite ways (although that's kind of an obvious one).
Rihanna went edgy with her blue coat to visit Da Silvano restaurant on Tuesday. Not only was the electric blue pulsating with an eclectic energy, but the Kye coat was also fur — a combination that only Rihanna could pull off. RiRi paired her statement making outerwear with white Isabel Marant jeans and gray, suede Manolo Blahnik pumps. So she effectively looked like a pretty fierce Smurf.
As could be expected, Taylor Swift went demure with her pale blue coat. Swift wore the baby blue boucle coat to catch a Christmas Eve performance of Broadway's The River, and she looked like a sparkling sugar plum fairy. From her bright pink lips, to her white heels, to her diamond encrusted headband — she looked like an elegant ballerina off duty, emitting grace even in the NYC rain and gloom.
