Someone, just give Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar already. Really, it doesn't matter where it comes from — I don't care if it's one of the little plastic ones you can buy on the Universal Studios Citywalk for like ten bucks, JUST BUY IT AND GIVE IT TO HIM. The poor guy is doing everything he can to win one of those damn awards, and it makes me sad every time I see him get a new, Oscar-bait role. Like this one: According to E!, DiCaprio will portray President Woodrow Wilson in an upcoming biopic, which is simply being titled Wilson.
This is just the latest in a string of period pieces DiCaprio has been involved in. In fact, I can't even remember the last time he was in a movie that wasn't a period piece — it was like, Inception, which was released back in 2010.
Since then, there's been J. Edgar, Django Unchained, The Great Gatsby, none of which were set in contemporary times, and his next film, The Wolf of Wall Street, takes place in the early '90s, so that doesn't count either. Poor thing is doing everything he can for that Oscar.
The film will be based heavily on A. Scott Berg's new biography of Wilson, which follows his two terms in office between 1913 and 1921.
Just look at that face.
