7 Celebrities Who Are One Direction Fans (I See You, Drake)
Who knew that One Direction's ridiculously massive fan base consisted of more than enormous hordes of screaming girls? It sounds unlikely, but there are actually some celebrities you might be surprised to discover are huge fans of the internationally-renowned boy band.
Check out the following 7 celebrities who consider themselves Directioners:
Maude Apatow
Judd Apatow’s daughter Maude is such a hardcore Directioner that her incessant 1D tweeting earned her the opportunity to interview the boy band for Teen Vogue.
Drake
What is the world coming to when Drake admits to taking cues from One Direction? During the rapper’s 5th annual OVO Fest, as he flew over the audience on a platform, he said, ”It’s not a lot of rappers that would do this s**t, it’s like me and One Direction.” Drake also shouted out 1D on the song “Believe Me,” where he raps, “On the road, I do One Direction numbers.”
Queen Elizabeth
I suppose Queen Elizabeth wouldn’t be a proper world leader if she didn’t show 1D some support. Niall Horan even received a special invite to Buckingham Palace to meet the queen.
Joey King
At 15 years old, Joey King has a lengthy acting resume, but she still finds time in her busy schedule to be a full-fledged One Direction fan.
Lady Gaga
Artistically speaking, Lady Gaga couldn’t be further from a boy band if she tried. Fortunately that doesn’t interfere with her showing the group some love, even if it means defending them against a booing audience at the MTV Video Music Awards
Usher
Although Usher is the mentor to 1D’s on-again, off-again nemesis Justin Bieber, the “Good Kisser” singer clearly sees no conflict of interest in being a One Direction fan as he was spotted hanging out with Niall Horan in Vegas at the 2014 iHeartRadio Fest.
