This is shocking. According to reports, 7th Heaven actress Sarah Goldberg passed away at her parents' home in Wisconsin last week, of what's said to be natural causes. Goldberg was only 40, and best known for portraying Matt Camden's wife, Sarah Glass, in the long-running WB series.
Though this is not yet confirmed, Goldberg's mother reportedly told the Chicago Sun-Times that the death may have been related to a heart ailment. "She went to sleep and didn't wake up," she said.
After the news broke, Goldberg's 7th Heaven co-star, Barry Watson (who portrayed Matt Camden in the series) posted a heartbreaking tweet in honor of her memory: "#RIP Sarah. I will miss you always. Love Ya! B."
This is, sadly, only the latest in a series of shocking, terrible news to hit the once-loved family series: In addition to news of Goldberg's passing, reports have also surfaced that series star Stephen Collins admitted to child molestation in alleged audio taken during a therapy session he attended two years ago with his wife. Though no formal charges have been presented against the actor, he's already been dropped from the upcoming film Ted 2 , and 7th Heaven reruns have been pulled from one family-focused network.
