This Cover Art for Prince's New Single Is Amazing

by Tanya Ghahremani

Guys. GUYS. We know it's still early in the day and stuff, but there's really no denying it: Prince wins both the Internet and life today, and you only need to look below to find out why:

Because, if you look below, you will find the official cover art for Prince's new single, "Breakfast Can Wait" — and yes, it literally features a picture of Dave Chappelle as Prince holding pancakes.

Oh my God.

Never has there been so much perfection in one cover. Prince has done some real revolutionary stuff in the past, and there's no denying that "Purple Rain" is a masterpiece, but this has brilliance oozing out of every pixel. Did "Purple Rain" have Dave Chappelle on the cover, holding a plate of delicious pancakes, wearing ruffles, and looking all Prince-like? No. No, it didn't.

If you're not aware — and if you're not, I'm sorry, but your life has been severely lacking until now — the image comes from a 2004 episode of Chappelle Show, which featured an E! True Hollywood Story-esque skit involving Chappelle, dressed like that, schooling actor Charlie Murphy in a game of basketball. Because the Internet is a wonderful place sometimes, the clip is available to check out so you can all experience the magic right now.
