Did J. Law and Nicholas Hoult Actually Break Up?
History is repeating itself in the relationship between Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, or so reports are claiming. Of course, we've already heard rumors that Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence were breaking up before, but the claim that it was because of J. Law's fame-hungry ego didn't really make for a believable tale. This time, E! Online is exclusively reporting that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have broken up for the exact same reason they broke up in 2013: Their distance and careers kind of make it hard to sustain a relationship.
"They spent a lot of time apart because of work and it was difficult on their relationship," said the source to E! Online. Their split is said to have been very amicable, which is more or less what we would expect from them if it was true. After all, this would be the second time that they've broken up for this reason so they're old pros at how to handle this. However, because this is just a repeat of their last break up, there might be hope for the couple. At this point, we could justifiably speculate that the break up might not be permanent.
Lawrence and Hoult got together while filming X-Men: First Class, broke up, and then reunited while filming X-Men: Days of Future Past. It's quite possible that they care for one another very deeply but are being realistic about the difficulty of sustaining a long distance relationship, especially when you're busy and apart and constantly being romantically connected to anyone of the opposite sex that you're ever seen with ever.
Lawrence and Hoult might be over (please say it ain't so!) but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're over for good. X-Men: Apocalypse is the next X-Men film in the series and filming for it could reunite the two soon enough. At the very least, we know that Kristen Stewart isn't to blame for Lawrence and Hoult's break up contrary to the reports that started swirling after the two of them were photographed grabbing lunch together.
I'm not saying that we should support X-Men: Apocalypse just because there's a chance that the filming of the movie might bring the world's cutest couple back together, but it's worth a shot. In the meantime, it's probably time for "Jolt" fans to start reflecting on the good times because it looks like they're officially over.
