The Dance Video You Never Expected

Another day, another reason for Kim Jong-un and North Korea to be mad. A Chinese student has made a bizarre Kim Jong-un dance video, superimposing his head onto dozens of scenarios for a video that's now gone viral. Not surprisingly, Kim is not finding the humor in it. And in a move that can only be labeled as "Oh, I see how it is," North Korea's request for China to remove the video has been met with silence. (I guess China's OK with political parodies when they're not targeting their own.) But we think that Kim should try to see the bright side: The video makes him look kind of badass.

According to South Korea's Chosun Ilbo, the video, set to the song "Little Apple" by the Chopstick Brothers, is the work of a Suzhou man with the surname Zhang, who reportedly studied at Kyonggi University in South Korea. Interesting choice, Zhang. Are you trying to say that, as the chorus suggests, Kim is your "little apple"?

Zhang also made sure to include cameos from the likes of President Obama, who is depicted as a trouble-making prankster with a penchant for popping out of nowhere to kick Kim, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Osama bin Laden, and Kim's father and grandfather.

Chosun Ilbo reports that, according a source in China, North Korea feels that the video "seriously compromises Kim's dignity and authority." Um, I would say that this video is the least of your problems in that department. In fact, watching a fictional Kim Jong-un own it on the dance floor can only improve his public image, because, well, not much can make it worse.

The video starts off with Kim showing off some of his more limber talents.

It's a family affair as Kim runs with his father, Kim Jong-il, and grandfather Kim Il-sung. Somehow their heads look appropriate on what are supposed to be hamsters from the Kia commercial.
