Kim Kardashian Look-a-Like & 6 More Celeb Fans Who Underwent Extreme Plastic Surgery
I’m not one to knock what other people want to do to their bodies. If you think plastic surgery will make you enjoy life more, you do you. However, there’s something disconcerting about people dropping thousands of dollars for the express purpose of looking exactly like a celebrity. In this case, body modification seems less like empowerment and more like an unflattering cultural mirror that displays our society’s rather disturbing idol worship of pretty people. The latest tale of a person undergoing an extreme, celeb-inspired makeover is that of Claire Leeson, a 24-year-old London woman who spent $30,000 to look like Kim Kardashian. Leeson opened up about the self-esteem issues behind choice to get plastic surgery and her story is worrisome .
Even more upsetting is the fact that this is part of a much larger trend. In fact, celeb-inspired surgery is popular enough that MTV had an entire show dedicated to it. Remember I Want A Famous Face? Yeah, that show actually happened.
Here's a look at some of the folks who have gone under the knife to resemble the people in the pages of Us Weekly. While you check these out, for Pete’s sake, just appreciate your own face. It’s beautiful just as it is.

Toby Sheldon / Justin Bieber
This 33-year-old music producer has paid over $100,000 to look like Justin Bieber… specifically 18-year-old Justin Bieber. He received hair transplants, lip surgery (to attain the “permanent smirk” of the Biebs) and lipo to get a Justin-style six pack. Sheldon was recently featured on the ultimate plastic surgeon buddy comedy/RHOBH spinoff show Botched.

"Kitty" / Jennifer Lawrence
When ABC news followed her extreme makeover quest, Kitty’s hospital bills totaled around $25,000 all in the aim of looking like the world’s super best friend Jennifer Lawrence. Procedures included liposuction, fat grafting, rhinoplasty, and breast augmentation. Well, she looks like Jennifer Lawrence, just given that she has, you know, a face.

Matt & Mike / Brad Pitt
These twin brothers underwent their face-renovations together on I Want a Famous Face to achieve the “strong bone structure” of Brad Pitt. Both boys received chin implants, rhinoplasty, porcelain veneers, and Mike got an add-on of cheek implants as well.

Trego has undergone over $100,000 worth of surgery to look like Lady Gaga, and earns a living as an impersonator of the singer. Sadly, she wasn’t born this way.

Ashley Horn, Michael Lohan’s daughter, spent $25,000 for rhinoplasty, cheek and jawline refinement, and chin injections to look more like her half-sister Lindsay Lohan, at 18-19 “in her good days.” Well, this just sounds like some classic middle child behavior.

Rosie appeared in the same ABC news TV spot as “Kitty”, wanting to look more like her idol Michelle Rodriguez. She underwent some facial fat grafting, and while healing, verbalized that she thought she looked less like her idol than before.

Another I Want a Famous Face alum, Crystal U wanted to get a nose job and breast augmentation to look more like Brit Brit. She thought that this appearance change would give her the courage to go after her dream job as a stripper. Her Lifetime movie has yet to be given an air date.
