Jack White's Divorce Gets As Messy As His Hair

Things between White Stripes musician Jack White and wife Karen Elson seemed amicable when the couple decided to part ways. After all, back in 2011, the couple decided to throw a divorce party to celebrate their break-up.

But it seems the relationship between the "Icky Thump" singer and musician Elson has gotten, well, icky. According to Nashville's The City Paper, Elson has been granted a restraining order against White, after she began fearing "for her and her children's safety." In an affidavit, Elson claims White has threatened her over custody of their two children, 7-year-old Scarlett and 5-year-old Henry, and has shown history of a violent temper.

A judge agrees with Elson, outlining in a July 22 court order, that "this pattern of husband's bullying wife into submission was a contributing factor in the demise of their marriage."

White and Elson had been married six years before deciding to split, and, according to Elson's lawyer, had hoped to quietly sort out custody. Seems, however, that things have been dialed up to 11 when it comes to the rocker's divorce.
