This Was A Heinous 'HIMYM' Finale Omission

LET'S GO TO THE MALL! I know you're still busy wishing that the finale wasn't what it was, and here's something to rub salt in that wound — Robin Sparkles was almost in the How I Met Your Mother finale. That certainly would have saved the day, right? Maybe not, but it definitely would have given us a dash of Canadian joy in the midst of the other feelings that resembled a bad hangover.

A number of scenes were cut from the finale (WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! — obviously a lot of things that we don't agree with, but anyway), and one of those scenes included an appearance by your favorite former Canadian pop star. HIMYM propmaster David Baker tweeted a photo (in a tweet that has since been deleted) from a moment that was shot — it featured Robin in her wedding dress with that signature acid washed jean jacket over it while singing "Let's Go To The Mall," naturally, and it also featured Tracy, the mother, on bass.

It wasn't the only moment that was cut, though. Alyson Hannigan tweeted that there was another cut scene, in which Lily paid Marshall the money she owed him (because Ted and Robin ended up together), which COULD have potentially made the Ted and Robin ending a lot of more... satisfying.

But there is nothing — nothing — and I repeat, nothing more satisfying than Robin Sparkles '90s pop glory.
