Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Are BFF Goals

by Zoe Weiner

Tina and Amy's friendship is definition of #goals. We've watched them host awards shows together where they offended Taylor Swift, play the world's most enviable set of sisters and surrogate moms, and debate each other SNL-style as Sarah Palin and Hilary Clinton. Tonight, they took their love to a whole new level when they wore matching outfits at the 2016 Emmys.

The ladies both walked the red carpet in stunning green dresses, which made them look like two of the chicest asparaguses (or is it pronouced asparagi?) that we have ever seen. Considering the two of them won an Emmy together earlier this week for their hosting of SNL, it's no surprise that they'd want to be #twinning for the big event.

Poehler showed up to the ceremony in a glittery long sleeved number that was a litttttle matronly for my personal taste, but gorgeous nonetheless. The Emmy Poehler won earlier this week happened to be her first (how is that even possible?!) so tonight was a big night for the former Parks and Recreation and SNL star. Even if this dress isn't one of my favorite things Amy has ever worn, she's so perfect every other minute of every other day that she can honestly do no wrong in my book. I kind of feel like I'm wrong for not loving it.

Fey turned up to the show in a "clover" dress from Oscar de la Renta's Resort '17 collection, and looked like a straight up goddess. She accessorized the look with emerald jewelry, which made us all #greenwithenvy (kidding, but not.).

Green was a surprising choice for Tina, because, well:

I wonder if Tina and Amy talked about their outfits before the show, or just had some sort of BFF-telepathy thing happen that made them show up in similar looks.

Who knew green could look so good?

May we all be so lucky to have a friend to match on special occasions.
