Baddie Winkle Slayed At The 2016 VMAs

If there's one woman (besides my mother) who I aspire to be when I grow up, it's Baddie Winkle. She's an 88-year-old badass who doesn't let age hold her back from what she loves to do and what she loves to wear. Baddie Winkle at the 2016 VMAs proved, once again, that no matter what she sports, she can pull it off with confidence, charm, and a good sense of humor.

But let's just talk about how her Instagram bio reads "stealing your man since 1928" for a moment. With 2.2 million followers, Baddie W. has made her way to A-list celeb status. Her entourage runs deep, too: Remember when Miley Cyrus and Baddie Winkle met at the 2015 VMAs rehearsal? It's easy to fall in love with Winkle. Not only does she have an infectious smile, but she can pull off the craziest looks that I wouldn't even dream of putting together.

Scroll through her Instagram account, and you'll see rainbow bathing suits, neon dresses, tubular mini dresses, platform shoes, and my personal favorite, a T-shirt that reads "prickly b*tch" paired with neon flower earrings, of course. Wherever Baddie goes, style and fans follow. And her crazy looks have paid off, officially making her the face of LA brand Dimepiece. I don't think there could be a cooler ambassador than her.

For the Aug. 28 awards, she showed us yet again that there's nothing she can't wear. Baddie Winkle strutted her stuff on the red carpet with a bodysuit made of gems á la Britney Spears in "Toxic" and a bedazzled cane. Yep, you read that right.

And she's got a sparkly cuff and white boots with colorful stars all over them to match.

I don't think I could be any more in love with her. Of course, Twitter is having a heyday and praising this queen for her iconic look.

This is just one of the many ensembles that Baddie Winkle has completely nailed, but it may just be my favorite. With her unwavering confidence and willingness to be silly and have fun, she's inspired that in me, as well. Although she's always an inspiration, she's outdone herself tonight.

It's official: I give her best-dressed of the evening.
