Who Is The Miss USA Runner Up?
It takes a lot just to make to the Miss USA pageant, let alone end up winning. Even though all of these women work hard to prepare for the event, there can only be one winner. With that said, there were other ladies who were on stage for pretty much the entire night. There are so many beautiful, smart, and accomplished women who competed for the title, so I cannot help being curious about who Miss USA runner-up, Chelsea Hardin is.
Yes, Miss USA will definitely get a lot of attention with all of the press that she will have to do (Miss District of Columbia, Deshauna Barber, took home the crown), but I'm sure that the runner-up is just as captivating. Representing the state of Hawaii, Hardin has the honor of being Miss USA's first runner up, which is no small feat by any means. So if you are a fan of the event, you might as well get to know more about her.
Plus, I don't know about you, but I was pretty intrigued by Miss Hawaii USA, especially after she expertly handled that awkward question about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Let's see what she's all about.
She Is A Hawaiian Native
According to her official biography on the Miss Universe website, Hardin was born in Hawaii and grew up there, so she was definitely an ideal choice to represent the state.
She Is A College Graduate
Hardin majored in Anthropology and Geography with a minor in Ethnic Studies at California Polytechnic State University, according to her bio. She also had an athletic scholarship to play NCAA Division 1 volleyball.
She Is Very Active
Aside from volleyball, Hardin tries her best to be active with other pastimes. She enjoys surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, hiking, and canoeing, her bio explains.
She Works For A Nonprofit
Hardin turned her lifestyle into a career while she also giving back to the community. She works for Hawaii Speed and Quickness, her bio reads, an organization that promotes living healthy and active lives in under privileged areas in Hawaii.
Hardin may not have won the Miss USA title, but she will be just fine! Clearly, she has a lot going on for herself regardless!
