Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Coloring Book For Charity

by K.W. Colyard

The good contributors to HitRECord may have outdone themselves with Joseph Gordon-Levitt's coloring book for charity. With proceeds benefiting the National Park Foundation, Color Your Park is 96 pages of 8.5 x 11" goodness, and it's available for pre-order today.

This year marks the National Park Service Centennial. Since March 2015, HITRECORD contributors have worked in tandem with the Find Your Park/Encuentra Tu Parque movement, which is dedicated to raising awareness and support for the National Park Service, via the National Park Foundation. Park directors, creators, and journalists are currently using #FindYourPark to connect on social media.

To help raise money, Gordon-Levitt's creative community designed a number of items for #FindYourPark, including a tote bag, three T-shirts, a onesie, and Color Your Park. Whenever you buy any of the items in the Find Your Park/Encuentra Tu Parque store, " 100% of the proceeds from your purchase ... go to the National Park Foundation."

Since being chartered in 1967, the National Park Foundation has generated private financial support for the National Park Service. The money raised goes to conserve and protect the United States' 411 national parks, which cover more than 84 million acres of land across the country.

Color Your Park ships on June 1.
