Is Helen Mirren’s Prince Tattoo Real?

by Augusta Statz

The 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner is well under way, and there’s already been quite a few statement-making moments. I mean, Emma Watson showed up wearing pants under a dress and one celeb showed up debuting a Prince tattoo. But, is Helen Mirren’s Prince tattoo real? Well, we can’t know for certain, but it could very well be!

Mirren may be 70 years old, but she doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. She even reportedly said she wants to get more tattoos. Because now that she is 70 and all, she just DGAF about what anyone else thinks, and good for her! It’s her body, so if she should decide to fill it with tattoos (or not) that’s completely up to her. This could also just be a temporary drawing, but either way — bravo for wearing this symbol in such a moving tribute. I can’t think of a better reason to get a tattoo than to honor such an incredible artist and musician as Prince, so if this is fake, I definitely think she should consider making this more permanent.

Real or no, this ink was the perfect complement to her purple gown, so I can’t fault her for this at all. Showing up to the WHCD with *potentially* fresh ink was a bold move, and I think it was well worth it!

Flaunt that Prince pride, Mirren!

I'm not mad about showing a little ink, especially if it matches your dress!

She's not afraid to show that symbol off, either.

Clearly, she had this whole WHCD thing well-planned, and all of that coordinating definitely served her well.
