MAC launched a small, online only collaboration with pop music rebel Brooke Candy last year. Obviously, the Brooke Candy x MAC partnership worked, since the singer and the brand have teamed up again for another, bigger collection of bold, beautiful makeup. Brooke Candy for MAC is a limited edition series of products that is available online at the MAC site on April 28 and at all MAC counters on May 5.
So what's in it? Oh, just a bunch of Brooke-inspired packaging and Brooke-approved colors. But most importantly? The collection really is all inclusive. "My brand does not exclude any woman," the singer tells Bustle during an interview about the range earlier this year. "I embrace all women. I feel like I have included something for everyone [with this collection]."
Brooke Candy x MAC V 2.0 boasts splattered, art deco packaging and features everything from eye gloss to lipsticks to bronzing powder to nail polishes. It's another quality MAC celeb collabo.
"This collection has 15 products and it has a product for every girl," the singer emphasizes, pointing out the key difference between her debut MAC range and this one. "I wanted to keep it classy and classic, and eccentric. It's a representation of where I am at now, both mentally and spiritually."
Candy also says that this collaboration is "more light and fun. It's more whimsical." The singer believes that "makeup allows you to transform yourself. I have always been married to both sides of human nature — light and dark. You can't understand one without the other and MAC has given me the ability to explore both. They have given me the proper platform for my voice and backed my vision."
The singer is not kidding when she says the collaboration fully represents her vision. "I picked every name and color and designed the packaging," she explains. "I am a control freak. I cannot do it any other way. My visual art is really the most important thing."
Have a look at the packaging, which you will want to keep, as opposed to recycle.
Stunning, isn't it?
Lipstick in Doo Wop, $18, MAC
Her favorite product is the hot pink Doo Wop lipstick. She even calls the shade her "number one."
Eye Gloss in Yang, $23, MAC
Miss Candy also loves the versatile eye glosses "which add a sheen on your eyes or your lips. One is dark and one is clear and they are called Yin and Yang, and I am obsessed."
Eye Gloss in Yin, $23, MAC
The eye glosses are "a simple way to add glamour. It's like the Vaseline trick, but more glamorous," Candy explains. Yeah, way, way, way more glamorous!
As for Brooke Candy's personal beauty philosophy, which she distilled into this range? "Embrace yourself and love yourself and care for yourself," she says. "Embrace your flaws. Love your body. I am all about self-love and natural beauty." OMG, isn't Brooke Candy your new girl crush with that way of thinking?
Lipstick in Witching Hour, $18, MAC
She explains, "I have come a long way. I used to feel like I needed to wear a ton of makeup to feel beautiful. And I don't think that is the case. I think makeup is great to finesse what you already have. But you have to love yourself first." Print that out and hang it on your wall. Because it's true.
Bronzing Powder, $27, MAC
Finally, how about a personalized Brook Candy tip on how to maximize her collection? "You can use Doo Wop [liptick] as a cream blush," the singer said. "It's a bubblegum pink. You can also use it as an eyelid sheen or contour on your cheeks." #Multitasker.
