Here's Why Kim Kardashian's New Lipstick Is Cool

by Amy Sciarretto

I totally get it, guys. Kim Kardashian's nude x pink lips are one of her most recognizable signatures, like her dark, glossy hair, mega contoured cheekbones, major lashes, and smoky eyes. So it was only a matter of time before she provided the inspiration for a lipstick. The lippies in Charlotte Tilbury's new Hot Lips lipstick collection, which will be available in late June across the pond and sometime this summer in the U.S., are named after and inspired by iconic celeb women. So, yes, Kardashian's color, dubbed "Kim K.W.," is her hallmark nude. No surprise there. While the reality star inspired the shade, it's not a collabo, since she had nothing to do with actually creating it and that's totally cool. But there is a reason that this lipstick and all of the sister shades are of critical importance and I'm not talking about rocking sexy, pouty lips for a night out.

As Allure reports, Tilbury created the Hot Lips collection in partnership with Women for Women, an international organization that supports marginalized women in countries afflicted by conflict and war. For every Hot Lips lipstick sold over in the UK, a British pound will be donated to the UK chapter of Women for Women.

Since 1993, the org has been helping women who have dealt with emotional and physical traumas in impactful ways. Women for Women provides everything from medical aid to mental support to educational opps.

Kardashian and Tilbury are quite a makeup pair but I am even more impressed by the fact that these lipsticks support a cause while beautifying your lips. It's a passive way for the wearer to do something good for someone else, too. Customers can feel good when they paint that pucker.

Here are the other shades in the collection, which are named after other beauty icons like Cindy Crawford, Salma Hayek, Sienna Miller, and more.

The colors are absolutely gorgeous, spanning the shade spectrum from hot pink to quintessential Old Hollywood Red to '90s brown. Their innate awesomeness — since the Tilbury brand is known for its quality—and the fact that some of the proceeds will support other women in need are the reasons I so co-sign this range.

Here's to hoping that the U.S release will include a charity component!
