Your Complete List Of 2016 Grammy Nominees
Well, people, it's awards season yet again, and one of the first major stops is the announcement of the 2016 Grammy nominations, which were revealed on the morning of Monday, Dec. 7. There's no question that the Grammys are music's biggest honor, so the names who made the list obviously did something right this year. The 2015 awards honor music that was released between Oct. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2015, so if you see anything notable omissions below (ex. Justin Bieber's new album Purpose), don't worry! Your favorite artists could be back next year.
Even if you aren't a giant music fan, going into the Grammy nominations one thing was clear: Taylor Swift was going to clean up. Her most recent album, 1989, was released on Oct. 27, 2014. Other than that, anything — that fit into the all important eligibility period — was possible. Would Fetty Wap get a nom and make that earworm "Trap Queen" worth it? Would one of Bieber's songs which were eligible get nominated and solidify New Bieber in an official way? Would Drake get a nomination and make an acceptance speech that included the "Hotline Bling" dance a very real possibility?
Check out the list below and see for yourself!
