Charli XCX Loves To Channel The '90s

The wave of '90s-inspired fashion is still going strong in celebrity land. Charli XCX launched her Boohoo collaboration in New York on Thursday, and wore a sparkly look that was an awesome culmination of all your favorite '90s fashion icons combined. The era of mom jeans, thigh highs, and hoop earrings galore is clearly still #trending, with everyone from Jada Pinkett Smith to Kendall Jenner hopping on the bandwagon.

The 23-year-old hit the stage in Brooklyn in a black velvet crop top with spaghetti straps and criss cross detailing at the neckline. She rocked a matching velvet high-waisted skirt which featured hip-high slits at either side — it's a miracle she didn't have a wardrobe malfunction.

The songstress paired the outfit with black over-the-knee boots with lace-up detailing, a fuzzy maroon beret, and large silver hoop earrings — this outfit literally screams '90s. Her makeup was very Gwen Stefani in her early No Doubt days, flaunting loads of electric blue eyeshadow and a pink lip. The overall look had major Spice Girls vibes mixed with a dash of Brittany Murphy circa Clueless, and it was totally amazing.
