Gwen Stefani For Urban Decay Is Actually Happening

by Amy Sciarretto

Could there be a perfect red lipstick on the horizon? That's a possibility, since a Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay collaboration is happening and feels one step closer to my face, thanks to an Instagram photo. Earlier this year, Stefani was announced as the face of the brand's Ultraviolet Edge initiative, which would be donating 100 percent of its profits from sales of one of Urban Decay's eye shadow primers to the Women's Global Empowerment Fund. BTW, I use the original version of the primer on my lids daily.

However, Urban Decay founder Wende Zomnir just posted a photo of herself and the red lip-lovin' singer going over makeup samples together on her Insta feed. Her caption says that she is announcing their "collaboration."

It appears that this partnership is extending beyond Stefani's good cause endorsement of the limited edition Enigma shade of the brand's iconic eye shadow primer, which was the initial plan.

Zomnir posted, "We've created some amazing makeup together." Go ahead and let out a shriek and an "OMG" since this collabo is deeper than we all thought. It's okay to have no chill during moments like this.

You can't really see specific products but what really stands out in this image is Stefani's ear-to-ear grin.

Here's Stefani and Zomnir looking like serious co-collaborators. Clearly, the singer and mother of three is in her element. Don't you love her polka dot kicks, too?

There is more makeup in our future, with input from the signer, who has been a face of L'Oreal.

Stefani will be 46 in a few weeks, yet she remains a beauty icon with an edge.

I mean, look at that ombre dye job, the on fleek brows, and cat eye? Flaw to the less. Stefani is so the right person to collab with Urban Decay.

Stefani's makeup is always about the highest drama.

That bob, though.

The singer is known for her blood red lips since No Doubt's early days. But she does switch it up a little, often rocking a berry shade.

Stefan is so stunning that she can mix a strong red lip with a bright, platinum blonde hair hue and not look overdone. She is a modern representation of Old Hollywood glam.

See what I mean?

She doesn't get enough credit for always having perfect lashes, either. I love that she is using an eos lipbalm while battling the cold and skiing. Any makeupista worth her salt looks out for her lips and conditions 'em.

I so plan to dive into Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay. How about you?
