Being a Muggle might not be the worst fate in the world, now that there is a Harry Potter -themed bar called "The Lockhart" in Toronto. For so long I have used the words #LifeGoals, but I fear that in the past I have abused them — for it is not until this moment that I truly understand what a #LifeGoal is. The truest #LifeGoal of them all would be packing up all my shiz, climbing into a flying car, and making for Toronto faster than you could say "Fizzing Whizbees". But because I'm an "adult" with a "job" and "social obligations," I guess I'll have to stay here and lust over The Lockhart's magical aesthetic from afar instead.
This bar isn't just Harry Potter-themed — it is hardcore dedicated to the fandom. They have drinks that range from “The Shacklebolt” to “Ludo’s Debt,” and there are hidden easter eggs from the book all over the bar. "Without knowing any of the Harry Potter stuff, you already will think of this as a cool bar," said co-owner Paris Xerx to Toronto Now. "You’d come here and see the stag’s head on the wall and go ‘Wow, I love that,’ but a Harry Potter fan might say ‘That’s a Patronus.'”
Other nods to the fandom include a deathly hallows sign and a neon heart with the words "All Was Well" inside. (ICYMI, Bustle assembled some awesome literary tattoos from last lines in books, and that was one of them, because duh.) The rest of the food and drink isn't necessarily Harry Potter in nature (YET, I hope), but it still looks mighty delicious — the Three Broomsticks better watch its back:
But by far the best part of all of this? The two co-owners, Paris Xerx and Matt Rocks, told Toronto Now that they both identify as Hufflepuffs. This means that J.K. Rowling's prediction REALLY CAME TRUE.
#HUFFLEPUFFSWAG, Y'ALL. Now I need to get my hufflin' pufflin' butt over to Toronto like nobody's business.
